Hi, it’s Den. we’d like to explain you how to change the drive belt on your front load washer. The drive belt goes between the motor pulley and the drum pulley and after time, it will become dried and cracked and may break.
it’s a really easy job to change, let me explain you how we do it.
Now to change the belt on this particular model, we can find it easier if you pull the washer all away from the wall so that we can access the rear of the machine and remove the back panel. That may involve disconnecting fill hoses, you definitely want to disconnect the power and pull it far enough forward that you can get behind the machine. Now that we have access to the back of the washerWe’re going to remove this back panel. Remove all the screws on the outside edge.
Then just lift that panel away. Now with the back panel off, you have access to the old belt.
If it’s still intactWe’re simply going to roll it off of the large pulley and discard it.Now when installing a new belt, you’ll note that it is quite a bit tighter than the original, so the method we use is to take a zip tie and secure the belt to the large pulley. Make sure that we have the groove side of the belt laying against the pulley and snug that zip tie up nice and tight. As we rotate that pulley clockwise, we need to make sure that we keep the belt feeding onto the motor pulley and keep it from slipping off of the large point.Once we have it on there, we’ll cut the zip tie off and then we can rotate that pulley back and forth until we have it centered on that large pulley.
If need be, we’ll just rotate it into the next groove, either forward or backwards on that motor pulley.
Rotate it a few turns, make sure that it’s centered. Now we can put the back panel back on.
Make sure that you line up the back panel across the top first and secure it with screws on either side. Then move to the bottom corners and line those up and then install the remainder. Now with the back panel installed, we can now push the washer back into place. We’re now ready to reconnect the power, and our repair is complete.
